The left-back has joined the Blues for the duration of the 2017-18 campaign and is Kenny Jackett’s second summer signing.

1 The 21-year-old last season appeared off the bench in both legs of Huddersfield’s Championship play-off semi-final victory against Sheffield Wednesday.

He was an unused substitute at Wembley for the subsequent penalty shootout triumph over Reading which took the Terriers into the Premier League.

2 He started out at Charlton at the age of eight and progressed into their first team in August 2015 for a Capital One Cup tie.

The defender ended up making 12 appearances during the 2015-16 campaign, including five starts in the Championship.

3 Holmes-Dennis joined Huddersfield in August 2016 for a £500,000 fee, signing a three-year deal with an option.

4 The first and only England cap earned by Holmes-Dennis came at under-18 level in March 2013.

He appeared as a second-half substitute in England’s 1-0 defeat to Belgium.

5 Holmes-Dennis previously turned out at Fratton Park in April 2015 while on loan with Plymouth.

He featured as a left wing-back for the visitors, who suffered a 2-1 defeat through second-half Pompey goals from Jed Wallace and Ryan Taylor.

6 The youngster was loaned out to League Two Oxford United for the first half of the 2014-15 campaign, making 17 appearances.

He also lined up alongside future Pompey player Danny Rose on occasions.

7 The second half of the 2014-15 season saw Holmes-Dennis represent Plymouth 20 times. He also registered his only senior goal to date – which arrived in a 3-2 win against Tranmere.

8 Plymouth boss John Sheridan took him on a youth loan while manager of Oldham the following season.

Arriving in March 2016, Holmes-Dennis went on to make 10 appearances as the Latics preserved their League One status.

9 He made seven Championship starts during Huddersfield’s promotion campaign last season, overall racking up 15 apperances.
