David Cotterill is set to extend his loan spell at Pompey until the end of the season.

Swansea boss Brendan Rogers has given the green light for the Welsh international to remain at Fratton Park.

Cotterill’s existing loan deal with the Blues comes to a close after the Leicester game this weekend.

But the winger has indicated he is keen to remain after impressing in seven appearances so far, scoring one goal.

That leaves Pompey to tie up the formalities of the move to keep the 23-year-old for the final eight games of the campaign after this weekend.
