Ditcham Park are aiming to net national silverware after making it through to the quarter-finals of the Independent School Football Association (ISFA) Trophy.

The team defeated Meoncross, from Fareham, 2-1 and Sackville, of Tonbridge, 4-2 en-route to the last eight, where they will face Chiltern Cantello from Yeovil on Monday, February 14.

Former Pompey defender Andy Awford, who coaches the side, said: ‘I am extremely proud and so pleased for the boys and the school.

‘To reach this stage of such a strong national competition is a fantastic achievement.

‘The boys have worked really hard and got their just reward.

‘We face a difficult away trip in the next round but go there full of confidence and they will certainly know they have been in a game whatever the outcome.’
