Mark Treleaven is celebrating victory in the 36-hole Hampshire PGA Short-Course Championship.

The Hayling Golf Club professional shot a five-under-par score of 103 to triumph at Ampfield Golf & Country Club on Friday.

Treleaven took the title by a single shot from Wellow’s Neil Bratley.

Home competitor Jon Barnes and Nick Redfern (Julius Baer) shared third place on 105.

It was Treleaven’s first victory in the annual Ampfield competition and his winning score included nine birdies.

The Pro-Am was won by the father and son combination of Reg and Mark Dawe, from Chilworth Golf Centre.

Their winning score of 96 gave them victory after a countback from Bratley and his amateur partner Steve Witt.

Barnes and his partner John Hazell completed the podium positions.

A total of 26 pro-am pairs took part in the championship.

It was sponsored for the seventh year by the Hazell family, owners of the Henry Cotton-designed Ampfield golf course.
