Kelly Simm is keen to step up her form again after booking a place in the individual all-around artistic gymnastics final at Baku 2015.

The 20-year-old Team GB star will be back in action on Thursday as she goes for glory in the first European Games.

I know I can step it up again, particularly on bars where I really want to show everyone my unique combinations.

Simm is happy with the way she combined with Charlie Fellows and Georgina Hockenhull today in the team final as they secured eighth position for GB.

But the talented Whiteley ace believes there is room for improvement for her in the individual final.

She was eighth best of the qualifiers from her sub division.

Now Simm has pinpointed the bars as an apparatus where she can make up ground on her rivals and has a few tricks up her sleeve.

She said: ‘I’m happy with my own performance and I know I can step it up again, particularly on bars where I really want to show everyone my unique combinations.

‘We did really well as a team, supported each other and fought through.’

Simm’s best position in qualifying was fifth in the vault.

That performance will give her plenty of encouragement for the individual finals, when she competes on Saturday.

The European Games multi-sport event is hosted in Azerbaijan.

Simm is enjoying the competition so far, with many talented sports people competing across a large variety of different events.

‘The crowd and atmosphere has been incredible all competition,’ added Simm.
