Havant are bidding to keep their title ambitions on track with crucial away trips this weekend.
The ladies’ first team head to Wimbledon in England Hockey League south division one on Saturday (midday).
The victor of what promises to be a thrilling clash will strengthen their claims for silverware and keep up the pressure on early pacesetters Hampstead & Westminster.
Buoyed by the impending return of the influential Ali Wakefield, the ladies thrashed south-coast rivals Southampton 4-1 in their derby clash at Havant College last weekend.
On Sunday, the men’s first team travel to face rock-bottom Bournville in the conference west division (12.30pm).
With the hosts suffering defeats in each of their opening four matches – shipping 16 goals in the process – anything other than victory will be a disappointment for Havant.
However, they will take nothing for granted – especially considering reports of Bournville’s improvement in recent weeks.
Elsewhere in conference west, Fareham host Cheltenham at their Henry Cort headquarters.
The visitors are third from bottom with just one win in their opening four fixtures.
