LONDON’s calling for hockey talent Rebecca van Berkel.
The 18-year-old, from Waterlooville, has been named in the England Pumas girls team to compete in the Sainsbury’s School Games.
She will be in action at Olympic hockey training venue Old Loughtonians next month.
Van Berkel said: ‘To be selected for something like this, so close to the Olympics is a great experience and really gets me eager for London 2012.
‘The venues are world class so to be able to compete where the best in the world will play, will be incredible.’
And the target for van Berkel, who switched from Havant to Trojans last season, is to help England to victory.
She added: ‘My main strengths are my determination and commitment.
‘I’m definitely going to the Sainsbury’s 2012 School Games to win.’
Van Berkel was named top defender in the recent Four Nations, where she represented England under-18s.
