Havant are eyeing a Welsh raid tomorrow (1pm).

The England Hockey conference west outfit travel to Whitchurch full of confidence after defeating league leaders Birmingham University last weekend.

Second-half strikes from Sam Hetherley and Pol Sams Irazola secured the 2-0 triumph for Merijn van Willigen’s men.

And the Havant College side are now just three points adrift of new pacesetters Team Bath Buccaneers.

Whitchurch, however, enjoyed an impressive win of their own, as they defeated Cheltenham 3-1 on the road.

Havant’s south coast rivals Fareham host Cardiff & UWIC in a mid-table clash at Henry Cort (1.30pm).

Nigel Cook’s hosts are fresh from a comfortable 4-2 win at league strugglers Lichfield and will be hoping to leapfrog their opponents with victory.

The Welshmen could only draw 1-1 with basement boys Bournville last weekend.

Elsewhere, Havant’s second string host Bournemouth in the Hampshire/Surrey Regional League division one (3pm).

Fareham II, who also play in the same division, travel to Southampton (midday).

Meanwhile, Havant’s ladies are hoping to end a run of three straight defeats with victory over Hampstead & Westminster at their Barncroft Way headquarters.

The home side have slipped to fifth place in division one of the South Clubs’ League.

The visitors, though, have recently been knocked off top spot by Maidenhead and will be determined to keep up their title charge.

Fareham’s ladies are at home to Eastleigh, looking to continue their great start to the season (9.45am).

The Henry Cort outfit have won all but one of their league fixtures this season, only dropping points in a 1-1 draw with the Isle of Wight.
