Hot property Bilic would consider Blues post

Slaven Bilic would be prepared to listen to an offer from Pompey.

With Avram Grant believed to be in talks about taking over at Fratton Park, Bilic looks set to miss out.

However, the Croatian national boss was heavily linked with a move to the Blues in the summer but his commitments to his country and the financial uncertainty at Pompey ensured a potential deal didn't happen.

But after Croatia failed to qualify for next summer's World Cup, Bilic is eager to get into club football.

And his agent, Rudi Vata, believes Bilic would be tempted by a Premier League job after revealing his client had turned down an approach from Scotland.

Vata said: 'I recently had a request about the Scotland national team and Bilic was not interested in that at the moment. We have had no concrete news on Portsmouth.

'He was heavily involved with the Croatian national team in the summer and couldn't make any move. Now he is in a position where he can sit down and study all of the offers available.

'The English Premier League is one of the top leagues in Europe. But I wouldn't think he would be put off by Portsmouth's position. It all depends on the offer if one came in. He wants to make the right decision and he wants to make the right move.

'There are clubs in Germany and England who are interested in him.'
