The Devils will tonight bid to kick-start their National League south division one campaign.

The Solent & Gosport outfit travel to London Raiders for their first away game of the season (5.30pm).

And the Forest Way outfit will be determined to seal a maiden success after going down 5-3 to Cardiff Devils in their curtain raiser last weekend.

Andrew Goddard had fired the home side in front inside three minutes, only for Trent Hope to level midway through the first period.

Cardiff pressed on and took the lead soon after the break as Phil Manny found the net.

But the Devils refused to lie down.

Kent Johnson, who has come out of retirement for another season with the Gosport-based side, levelled the match up on the 27th minute before edging his side in front shortly after.

A memorable opening-day win was not the be, though.

Steve Balmer netted either side of the interval to restore Cardiff’s lead.

And as the hosts hunted for an equaliser, Hope sealed the win with three minutes to go.
