Hotshots are continuing to soar up the Gosport & Fareham League division three table.

They beat Devils 36-31 in a competitive clash at Brune Park in their most recent outing.

Newly-sponsored by Energie Fitness for Women, a gym in Havant, the girls had a brand new kit to christen.

Emily Forbes did an amazing job in defence.

She defended shots in the Devils circle, refused to let her rivals get their hands on the rebounds and then passed well up court.

Katie Tabner also played well in mid court – making Devils’ lives difficult from the centre pass.

Jade Kennedy, for Devils, was moved to goal-attack at half-time.

And alongside goal-shooter Charlotte Ward, she had a great crack at increasing her side’s score but it wasn’t enough.

Gosport Gators Blacks played club-mates Gosport Gators Gold.

Blacks Hannah Norbury came off with an injury in the third quarter which didn’t help the youngsters.

And it was the slightly older, wiser Golds who won 44-29.

Fareham Vixens had a good bash at unbeaten Gosport Borough Stars but an injury to Megan Wallace didn’t help their cause.

Chloe Blatch – a young player making big improvements – defended well for Vixens but they went down 44-25.

Blackjacks are having a top season and they beat Fareham Zodiacs 62-22.

Annika Vincent wasn’t missing when she shot for Blackjacks.

And Donna Jackson took every opportunity to turn the ball her way in mid court.

In division four, Misfits won a tough match against Pumas, who needed the win to move away from the relegation spot.

It wasn’t to be, though, as Misfits won 45-26 with Sam Ward named the players’ player.

Gosport Borough TML, who had such a difficult season in the winter, are like a phoenix rising from the ashes.

They have cruised to the top of the table and are so far unbeaten.

They continued the winning streak by beating Fireflies 35-27.

Lara Charman was vital in securing the win.

US Harriers didn’t prove too tough for second-placed Wildcats.

Some great mid-court moves from Kirsten Osgood helped her team to 42-22 victory.

T&A Trojans were pushed to the last quarter by Nats before winning 33-29.

The Gosport & Fareham Netball Association are holding a mixed tournament on Sunday, July 17 at Brune Park, Gosport (9.30am).

This year it is open to any team in the area – not just the GFNA.
