Shooters Liberty Griffin and Kitty Brandon helped fire Fareham Fireflies Aqua to success in the under-14 All About Netball Junior League.

Some fabulous shooting from Griffin and Brandon inspired the team, while mid-court play from Gabriella Diaper also boosted the side.

Despite an injury, Griffin has recently had a successful trial for Weston Park Blades.

Fareham Fireflies Orange finished a close second. Charlotte Jenkins is always vocal helping the team spirit and is also very versatile.

Manager Chris McNaulty cheered the team on all season, and his daughter Eleanor is a valued member of the side.

Fareham Fireflies Green finished in the bronze medal position.

They finished the season strongly, Georgia Massey playing superbly in defence and Katie Churcher shooting well at the other end.

Both girls umpire in the under-12 league on a Thursday.

Georgia Massey also won the best and fairest player award.

Brandon, from Aqua, finished a close second.

The presentation night tournament, however, turned the tables as Fareham Fireflies Orange took the gold medals.

The under-12s also finished the season with a presentation tournament.

The season division winners were Fareham Fireflies Purple with Shooting Stars finishing second.

Fareham Fireflies Black were third, Gosport Gators fourth and the new Fareham Fireflies Pink in fifth.

Purples, last season’s winners, had a strong team again.

Gabriella Moore puts players twice her age, and height, to shame with her accurate shots.

The supporters were amazed at this lovely young player’s ability to shoot from anywhere in the circle.

She was ably helped by Olivia Ward and Sophie Moore.

Shooting Stars lost out only on goal difference. Lola Jewell worked hard in her movement round the circle, Stevie-Leigh Abbot was an asset in defence and Lana Richards shone after switching to goal-attack.

Fareham Fireflies Black had a great season. Catriona Huntley played well in a number of positions, while Alice Bartlett was strong in defence.

Captain Lauren Welsh led Gosport Gators to a good season and she has had a successful trial with Weston Park Blades.

Trinity Neissen and Evie Warringer also shone throughout the season.

Fareham Fireflies Pink enjoyed a great season, with Isabella Hickey and Evie Clarke impressing on the court.

The Best and Fairest Player was shared by Alice Bartlett from Blacks and Emma Brown from Pinks.

The Tournament was won by Fareham Purple, with Shooting Stars finishing second.

The Junior league will now be run completely on Thursday nights, 6pm to 8.45pm, at Cams Hill School, Fareham. The new season starts in mid-September and they are looking to add under-16s. Contact All About Netball on 07745 110119.
