Pivotals, who emerged from a Back to Netball session and have grown into a club with qualified coaches and budding umpires, started slowly.

But after trailing 3-2 at the end of the first quarter, they were level by half-time and eased clear in the second half.

Sergeant’s skiful movement and accurate shooting was key.

Fireflys Lilac, who have only lost once in their first adult season, beat Oceans 20-17.

Cookies met another young team – Cams Squidgys – and this time experience was the winner, 27-22.

Allsorts finished strongly but ran out of time in a 20-18 defeat to Glitter-Mix.

In division one, Warriors beat Swanmore 23-16 in the top-of-the-table clash.

Bounties went down 35-21 to Netstars in a very sporting encounter.

Wildcats beat Tornadoes 22-11 and Knowle Hotshots lost to Cams Chaos 28-23.
