Layabouts (John Biggs) trounced Yankers (Jonathan Leggett) by 21 shots to keep their Portsmouth & District League victory triples title bid on track.

Royals (Dorian Bishop) are level on points with the leaders, in second spot, after winning by eight against Copouts (Roland Bloy).

Strugglers DRCC (Charlie Bailey) edged an important two-shot success over The Blues (Jim O’Donnell).

Kackanders (Matthew Marchant) remain at the head of division two after a six-shot victory against Moneyfields (Ted Coward).

Second-placed Split Ends (Russell Gadd) completely outplayed Gamblers (Mike Elliott), winning by 23.

Allsorts (Gary Snook) have a game in hand and are three points behind the leaders.

They left it late to keep on track as they took the final three ends to beat Portchester Vets (Sean O’Mara) by four.

The trio of Gerry Craig, Brian Chapple and skip Alex Marchant went on a scoring spree and included counts of eight and six as they thumped Aray (Ken Turvey) by 23 shots.

Ice Creams (Gary Starks) enjoyed a comfortable 14-shot win against Long Jacks (Dave Meyer).

Claret n Blue (Roland Bloy) took top spot in the Tuesday league.

They made a superb start by winning the first six ends on their way to a 19-shot success against Titans (Bill Bailey).

Previous leaders Captains Lot (Paul Robson) went down by nine shots at the hands of College Park (Mat Boltwood).

Odd Bowls (Dave Powe) made it six wins on the trot, with a four-shot victory against Cardsharps (Mel Dunbar).

Post Office (Trevor Moore) delivered a 10-shot triumph against City (Geoff Matthews), and Fiesta (Gerry Dobson) beat Next (Derek Earl) by 11 shots.

Wednesday leaders Gravediggers (Brian Le Marquer) took four of the final five ends to win by eight shots against Tangier (Ernie Stow).

Second-placed Poachers (Bob Newell) scored four shots in the final two ends to win by three against Griffs (John Rawlings).

The Royals (Les Wilkinson) are unbeaten in seven games and climbed to third, thanks to a two-shot win against Combine (Len Chubb).

The Alex (Norman Scutt) hit form as they beat Newcomers (Alvin Millard) by four.

Toromos (Arthur Newland) retained the lead in the Friday league, but in losing by 10 to Standons (Trevor Moore) they handed their rivals a chance to close in.

New Team (Jim O’Donnell), who included counts of five and seven, thumped Spanners (Mike Carpenter) by 19 shots and are now just two points back.

Third-placed Biggles (Trevor Smith) conceded seven shots in the final three ends to tie with Flotsam (Kath Patrick).

Collegians (Les Watts) won by 10 against Waverley (Dave Wildman), and Metros (Ken Morgan) beat Jays (Albie Somerset) by five.

Draymen (Ted Coward) lead the Tuesday day league after a four-shot victory against True Blues (Keith Warren).

Postman Pats (Paul Ellis) enjoyed a one-shot victory against Black Top Boys (Bob Floyd) to remain in contention.
