Coventry revving up for start of new season

He is delighted to have joined such a professional team and will be raring to go this weekend.

The 23-year-old, from Waterlooville, will be racing the Superstock 1000 series on a brand new Kawasaki ZX10RR.

He is no stranger to this, having ridden a 1000cc in the CEV Spanish Championship in previous years.

After ending the season last year at Brands Hatch when things didn’t quite to go to plan, he is eager to jump back into the saddle for round one.

Coventry said: ‘Last year was full of highs and lows but this year I am looking to wipe the slate clean, get used to being back on a bigger, faster bike and progressing steadily up the ladder and really showing everyone what I am made of.

‘The Superstock 1000 class is looking really competitive this year with some great format changes also.

‘I am so grateful for the opportunity to be apart of G & S Racing Team.

‘And I’m excited to bring on new personal sponsors, Muscle Doctor Sport Nutrition, Dragons Logistics, PGS Garage Service and Di-Spark Ltd as well as continuing on with Oxford Products Ltd.’

Coventry will begin his campaign at Donington Park for the first round of the MCE British Superbikes tomorrow and the racing continues at the Leicestershire circuit on Sunday.
