Pompey have decided not to renew the loan deal of Conor Clifford.
Michael Appleton has also opted to wait on the fitness of Kevin Long before clarifying his Pompey future.
Clifford was this morning told by Appleton his one-month spell from Chelsea would not be extended having failed to break into the side during his Fratton Park stay.
The 20-year-old made just three substitute appearances, although did score in the 4-2 defeat at Carlisle last month.
Long is currently sidelined by back problem and the injury will be assessed before Appleton decides whether to seek to renew his loan from Burnley.
