Pompey’s League One clash with Hartlepool has been called off.
Two pitch inspections at Victoria Park were carried out this morning by the match referee.
And while the playing surface was deemed playable, the forecast of heavy showers throughout the day and the possibility of a deteriorating pitch forced a decision to be made.
Pompey are already in Hartlepool after setting off via coach on Thursday.
Blues fans will also have to return home without a ball being kicked, with many setting off early this morning.
A new date for the rescheduled fixture is still to be announced.
