Adams makes return to football
Former Pompey boss Tony Adams has returned to the game - with Azerbaijan side Gabala FC.
The former Arsenal defender was sacked at Fratton Park in February 2009 but has been handed a three-year deal.
He said: 'I was looking for a project. I am too young to retire.
'This one was very rare. I just thought it was a magnificent project to get my teeth into. They've given me a clean plate here to build a football club and you don't get that opportunity in the UK'
Gabala are currently sixth in the 12-team Azerbaijan league.
Former Pompey player - and Petersfield Town manager - Gary Stevens will be Adams' assistant.
