Campbell enjoys England return

SOL Campbell became the first Pompey player in 23 years to start an England international.

The last person to do so was Mark Hateley back in 1984 when he scored against Brazil at the Maracana Stadium.

Sol was named in Steve McClaren's starting line-up for the Euro 2008 Championship qualifer against Estonia at Wembley.

And it was a enjoyable return for the defender as he helped England ease to a 3-0 win.

Shaun Wright-Phillips opened the scoring for England early in the first half, before Wayne Rooney added a second.

An own goal from Taavi Rahn midway through the first half wrapped up the scoring as England warmed up for the crucial game against Russia on Wednesday with a well-deserved win.
