Cranie to leave Pompey

Martin Cranie has been lined-up for a Fratton Park exit after Coventry City had an offer accepted.

The England under-21 right back is expected at the Ricoh Arena today to undergo a medical ahead of the move for an undisclosed amount.

Cranie, who has been offered a three-year deal, becomes the latest name to leave Pompey.

Never a regular, he made just five appearances in his two years on the south coast.

Instead he had to seek football elsewhere, spending loan spells at QPR and Charlton.

Now the Blues have decided to cash-in on the versatile defender, whose last appearance was as a substitute against Rangers on Saturday.
