David James
David James has proved to be a massive hit since arriving from Manchester City.
He immediately made the No1 position his own and has hardly put a foot wrong in his Blues career.
James was a key player in last year's campaign, producing top-drawer saves that enabled Pompey to win the FA Cup for the first time in 69 years.
His fine form for his club enabled him to reclaim his place in England's goal.
He was voted in last year's PFA team of the year and was also a nominee for PFA player of the year, the only player outside the 'big four' to be nominated.
