Defoe's the last big-name exit
Peter Storrie has promised there will be no more big-name Pompey departures during the January transfer window.
Jermain Defoe this week made a high-profile Fratton Park exit in a deal worth around 15m.
That's the lot, though, as far as Pompey's executive chairman is concerned.
Storrie insists no other prized assets will now be sold off, with the emphasis strictly on recruitment and strengthening Tony Adams' squad – as revealed by The News' Neil Allen in yesterday's online web chat.

It's an assurance Blues fans have been looking for, with Niko Kranjcar, Glen Johnson and Peter Crouch among those persistently linked with moves this month.
And Storrie is adamant all their stars are now here to stay.
He said: 'Let me make it abundantly clear, there will be no more players sold.
'We do not need to sell any more players. Jermain wanted to go, so he went, and I can assure you he will be the only one.
'As far as anyone else wanting to leave, there have been no others speaking to me about it whatsoever.
'Everyone else is perfectly happy at this football club.
'At the end of the day, you want to keep a player like Jermain Defoe but clearly his head had been turned.
'When you get in that situation, sometimes you can persuade players to stay – other times it's quite clear they have no intention of changing their mind.
'Really, with Jermain that was that – his mind was made up and he wanted to go.
'Of course it was disappointing, but there was nothing we could do about it. He had made his position quite clear.
'In the end we got a good deal for him. Effectively, we got him on loan for a year and have made 6m profit in the process.
'But that's it, none of the others will be leaving. We are now concentrating on bringing others in and strengthening the squad.'
Reports today have claimed Defoe wanted a 775,000 loyalty bonus from the Blues because he did not ask for a transfer. That is despite Storrie insisting the striker wanted to go.
It is believed Pompey avoided paying the bonus, though, by demanding Spurs pay up instead.
The pledge from Storrie that the squad won't be sold off does not include the likes of Lauren and Richard Duffy.
The duo, whose contracts both expire this summer, have been told they can find themselves new clubs.
Meanwhile, Hermann Hreidarsson is also seeking to leave, with Celtic and Ipswich rumoured to be monitoring the situation.
Those excepted, the executive chairman does not anticipate anyone else following Defoe out of Fratton.
