In the mountains of central Asia
Pompey were cheered on during the Final by fans in the Central Asian Republic of Tajikistan.
Graeme Loten, British Ambassador there for the past four years, is Portsmouth-born, bred and educated and a life-long Pompey fan from the days when, as a 10-year old, he was taken by his dad to Fratton Park.
For the big match more than 120 people - mainly British Embassy staff, their families and friends - gathered, dressed in blue, in an outdoor restaurant in the appropriately-named Victory Park in the hills above the Tajik capital, Dushanbe.

They watched the game on a Russian sports channel by satellite, and it kicked off at 7.00pm local time, just as the sun was going down.
Graeme says: 'Tajikistan is as football-mad as most countries, even though the game is not so developed locally.
'Most Tajik football supporters know the big Premier League teams quite well from satellite TV coverage and the likes of Beckham, Gerrard and Rooney are well known. However, since last night they now know a bit more about Campbell, James and, of course, Kanu as well.'
