Kranjcar stunner rescues Pompey
Niko Kranjcar's second-half free-kick saved Pompey from defeat against Championship-bound West Brom.
The Blues had to come from behind to earn a share of the spoils following two second-half goals from the Baggies.
Younes Kaboul put the home side in front 12 minutes before the break with a fine finish.
West Brom, who deserved a share of the spoils, turned the game on its head with goals from Jonathan Greening and a Chris Brunt free-kick.
But then Kranjcar delivered a beautiful deadball delivery which saved the Blues from an embarrassing loss against a side who have won once on their travels in the league all season.
The frustration of the home crowd was clear to hear as boos echoed around the ground on the final whistle.
That was clearly aimed at Hart failing to take a more attacking stance with Peter Crouch employed on his own up front until stoppage time.
Theofanis Gekas was thrown on for his first Pompey appearance with time ticking down, but had little time to make an impact.
The result does see Pompey move up a couple of places and maintain a four-point gap from the bottom three.
It was a game when three points were needed, however, to move the side well clear of trouble.
