Milton end to crank up the noise

Pompey are to create a noisy section in a bid to crank up the Fratton Park atmosphere.

From Nottingham Forest's visit on October 30, the Milton end will have its own designated noisy area for Blues fans.

Block R, which contains 500 seats, has been allocated to home supporters for that fixture.

The situation will then be assessed by the club to see whether to make it a more regular occurrence.

The move has been designed to build on last season's success of a Milton end day against Wigan.

On that occasion, the increased presence helped raise the volume around Fratton Park.

Tickets in the stand are priced at 20 for adults, 15 for concessions and 10 for juniors.

However, season-ticket holders based elsewhere in the ground are being allowed to change seats.

Effectively, it will be swapping their existing seat for a spot in the Milton end, with no extra outlay or refund.

Anybody wishing to swap seats are advised to contact the ticket office 48 hours prior to the match.

Meanwhile, the ticket office is opening for an additional two hours tomorrow ahead of the Watford game.

It will open at 8am and shut at 6.30pm in an attempt to ease match-day queues.

So far 13,000 tickets have been sold for the clash with the high-flyers.
