Palacios ordered to miss Pompey clash
Wilson Palacios will not be in the Spurs team at Pompey this weekend - on orders of Honduras' ruling military junta.
The midfielder was an integral part in Honduras' 1-0 victory over El Salvador which saw the central American side qualify for their first World Cup since 1982.
As a result, all members of the Honduras side have been ordered by the recently-installed government to attend a celebration party in the Honduran capital Tegucigalpa.
That has meant Palacios has had to delay his flight 24 hours, meaning he will miss the crunch clash at Fratton Park.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp said: 'We've got no choice but to go to Portsmouth without Wilson.
'There's nothing he can do either. I guess when the President tells you to do something, you can't do much about it.'
