Pompey takeover: due diligence at an end
Sulaiman Al Fahim's £60m Pompey takeover moved closer today after the completion of due diligence.
The News can reveal the investigation into the Blues' finances are now at a close as the Arab property tycoon inches nearer to becoming the club's new owner.
All the indications last week were the process was finished, but Al Fahim's advisor, Ivo Ilic Gabara, has now confirmed that is the case.
The Premier League last week started their fit-and-proper-person investigation into Al Fahim.
Pompey expect that process to take a week, although reports suggest it could take nearer a fortnight.
