Pompey turned over by Rovers

Pompey let slip a first-half lead to suffer a 3-1 loss at relegation rivals Blackburn.

Jamie O'Hara had put the visitors in front on 16 minutes when his low shot from 30 yards found the bottom right-hand corner.

The Blues were then left to rue an awful decision from referee Andre Marriner before the break as Pascal Chimbonda was shown only a yellow card for shoving O'Hara in the face.

Pompey contributed to their own downfall in the end, though, after more defensive errors which have blighted their season.

Frederic Piquionne's failure to clear a corner on 53 minutes enabled second-half substitute Jason Roberts to level.

And another defensive mistake from a corner saw Rovers go 2-1 up with 73 minutes as an unmarked Ryan Nelsen headed home.

Pompey never looked like recovering after that.

And ex-Blues striker Roberts wrapped up the points with Blackburn's third on 86 minutes.

The defeat leaves Pompey rooted to the bottom of the Premier League.
