Prince has not turned his back on Blues
Avram Grant dismissed talk Prince Boateng has gone AWOL.
The Pompey boss stated the 22-year-old still faces weeks on the sidelines after picking up an ankle problem against Manchester United.
Boateng has been going about his rehabilitation in Germany after a tirade against Pompey's medical staff.
The midfielder angered the respected Blues team after branding them 'amateurish'.
Grant stated he had no problem with Boateng finding his fitness away from the club.
The former Spurs man has been one of Pompey's most impressive performers this season.
But the momentum he built up slowed at the turn of the year.
Grant stated his side are missing Boateng's talent, however.
He said: 'Kevin Prince Boateng has been missing for a long time and he has shown that he has been one of our best players.
'But we have had 14 players this season and still won games.
'We have shown good spirit.
'He's injured and it's bad. He will not be fit for the next weeks.
'We hope he will soon be better because he has had a great season. We miss him.
'He is in Germany and receiving treatment three times a day.
'It's not true that he is missing.'
Meanwhile, Pompey have been handed the date for their Wembley return in the FA Cup semi-final.
The Blues will take on either Fulham or Spurs on Sunday, April 11 (4pm).
Chelsea take on defeated Carling Cup finalists Aston Villa on Saturday, April 10 (5pm).
