Sol Campbell

Harry Redknapp pulled off a massive coup to land Campbell on a free transfer from Arsenal in the summer of 2006.

Campbell turned out to be one of the buys of the campaign, forming a miserly central-defensive partnership with Linvoy Primus.

His fine form continued last year which saw him rewarded by being called back into the international fray for England.

He has now formed a formidable partnership with Sylvain Distin which last season led Pompey to FA Cup glory.

Will always be remembered in the historic Pompey chant, 'When Sol went up to lift the FA Cup, we were there, we were there...'.
