Ticketmaster is to handle FA Cup semi-final tickets
Pompey have confirmed fans will be able to buy their FA Cup semi-final tickets through Ticketmaster.
Thousands of fans are set to pack half of Wembley stadium after a famous 2-0 victory over Birmingham City at the weekend.
But first Blues supporters will have to fork out for a ticket from Ticketmaster.
Fans experienced a myriad of problems with the company the last time Pompey reached the semi-final of the Cup in 2008.
Fans had their tickets cancelled, spent hours on the phone and some were allowed to buy more than their allocated amount – meaning many were left disappointed.
The company ironed out the issues in time for the final and says it expects things to go smoothly this time around.
After a season of bad news, Pompey's passionate fans are delighted to be rewarded with a big day out in the capital.
And supporters hope there will not be any problems with Ticketmaster this time around.
Colin Farmery, of Pompey Supporters Trust, said: 'To be fair to Ticketmaster, they it sorted out for the final. Provided they stick to that plan, we shouldn't have a problem.'
It is thought Pompey will be allocated around the same amount of tickets as they were in 2008, which was 32,600.
It is not yet known who Pompey will be facing at Wembley until Fulham and Spurs replay their quarter-final match.
Fans are also waiting on ITV to announce whether the match will be on Saturday April 10 or Sunday 11.
The club is in the process of finalising details of who will be eligible to buy a ticket and will make an announcement soon.
