Pompey's Ryan Williams battles with Chelsea's Romeu in the FA Cup at Stamford Bridge

Ryan Williams was today at Fulham’s training ground with a view to a move to the Premier League outfit.

The News can reveal the Pompey teenager is moving close to agreeing a £500,000 deal with the Londoners.Williams checked in at the Cottagers’ Motspur Park base, with an exit from the Blues on the cards.

The 18-year-old is set to feature in a trial game for the Londoners tonight.

That then looks likely to pave the way for his departure to be completed.

The Australian talent made the breakthrough with Pompey this season, getting six appearances off the bench under his belt.

But with Pompey desperate to generate funds to cover their £1.6m unpaid tax bill, he is now set to be the first player to leave the club.

The transfer window shuts tomorrow night at 11pm.

Jewell, as much as you'd have loved to have got yourself a bargain at PFC's expence, the players obviously didn't want to play for you. You've been done by a tactic known as organised chaos, which our club seems to be excelling at right now.

OK i try again and type slower for the under 11's and slow of mind. Well GOOD morning all. You cant get a sense of timing or not of a new owner COMING IN just because AA is tapping up FL for some earlier advance of parachute, IE JUST BECAUSE AA IS TAPPING UP THE FL FOR MONEY DOESNT MEAN WE ARE NOT CLOSING IN ON A BUYER, he should be asking THE FL regardless. Am sure a win against Hull and wages paid will both be big boosts NOT CLEAR? BEAT HULL WAGES PAID. Not sure about the bank accounts be unfrozen seems odd HMRC would consent to that if they have any say in the matter, NOT CLEAR? Bt not to worry one assumeS Williams & Kitson CASH dosh and investor MONEY dosh or parachute advance can all by pass THE BANK THAT IS FROZEN and be handleD through our lawyers escrow or accountants escrow ACCOUNTS too. Kitson has tried hard but frankly just doesnt know where the goal is, if we can get 1mill for him, needs must, Erik and the hammer Futacs can handLE while fit, perhaps Benj and Varney and kanu standing by is the best for now, as no one will take Kanu or Benj anywaY

Really wish people would read the news or listen when it comes out. All i've had all morning at work is "your players haven't been paid" "your accounts are frozen", the accounts have been frozen yes, and the players haven't been paid. The accounts have been frozen since the winding up order was issued, thats standard when a winding up order is issued, the club have applied for the accounts to be un-frozen so wages CAN be paid.

Try £1 million plus add-ons or a sell-on percentage. Anyway, why would a true Pompey boy want to go there? PUP. KEEP THE FAITH.
