Pompey ran the rule over four new players on the first day of pre-season training.
As revealed first on portsmouth.co.uk this morning, former Chelsea and Fulham left-sided player Jon Harley was part of a 20-man squad at Eastleigh.
And also taking part was former Doncaster Rovers full-back Mustapha Dumbaya.
The 24-year-old, who can also play on the wing, spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace.
Michael Appleton also looked to ease his goalkeeper shortage by using ex-England under-18 shot-stopper Simon Eastwood and Laurie Walker.
The 23-year-old Eastwood was most recently at Halifax Town, while Walker, 22, played for Kettering Town, when Pompey’s likely new first-team coach Ashley Westwood was caretaker boss.
