Harry Roles is on the road to success.
He’s hoping his natural talent, coupled with skill and dedication, will take him all the way to the very top.
Roles, 13, has grown out of his Junior Kart, as he already stands at 5ft 9in.
Now the Brookfield School pupil is mixing it with the adults – and beating them.
Roles’ dad Danny is certain good things are on the way.
He said: ‘Harry really is an amazing driver.
‘He beats adults week-in, week-out.
‘They cannot believe he is only 13.
‘He is a very fluid driver with the skills of Jenson Button, but the ambitions of Lewis Hamilton.’
When Roles was scouted by Martin Hines, the legendary Go Karting mentor who kick-started Hamilton, Button and Coulthard’s careers, things looked to be heading in the right direction.
But when Hines died last year, it put Roles’ progress on hold.
He must now attract further support to gain his motorsport licence.
When he secures this, it will allow him to enter some of the big competitions.
Meanwhile, dedicated Roles shatters his own records regularly at Gosport Race Track.
Confidence and motivation is not something Roles lacks.
He races every week, without fail and is never willing to settle for second place.
It’s an attitude sure to reap dividends as he looks to map out a path to the Silverstone podium.
Next up for Roles could be the Rookie Championships at Buckmore Park, in Kent.
Roles is in need of sponsorship as he battles to take the next step in his motorsport career.
