HAMPSHIRE continued their return to form with a comfortable 46-run success over Leeward Islands in their third Caribbean t20 fixture.

After their dramatic win over Barbados in the super over on Thursday, they followed it with a far more one-sided victory to give themselves an excellent chance of progressing to the semi-finals of the tournament.

Johann Myburgh (76) top-scored in Hampshire's 156-5, while Jimmy Adams (30) and Benny Howell (29 not out) saw them post their highest total of the tournament so far.

In reply, Leeward Islands were bowled out for 110 in the 20th over as Simon Jones again excelled with the ball (three for 21) while Chris Wood (two for nine) and Hamza Riazuddin (two for 23) chipped in with a fine bowling display.

James Vince also took five catches in the victory as the Leeward Islands batsmen crumbled to defeat.
