Gosport & Fareham’s London two south west title hopes could be decided in the next fortnight as they head into two crucial games.

Gos face a tough visit to Twickenham tomorrow, before hosting closest-rivals Wimbledon at Gosport Park next week.

Twickenham were beaten 16-9 at Gosport earlier in the season but only after a hard-fought encounter that included three yellow cards for the home side.

Gosport are expecting another tough examination from their south London hosts.

‘Our next two games could decide it all at the top,’ said assistant coach Scott Ashley.

‘It is between us and Wimbledon but we have the toughest run-in.

‘We might be 10 points clear but it is still all to play for.

‘It is vital that we eradicate the mistakes we made last week in our win at Chobham.

‘Our front five played well but we let the pressure get to us.

‘We need to go out and play our rugby and not feel under any pressure.’

Jonathan Wood returns in the centre and Simon Speight is back on the wing.

Alex Duncombe could return at outside half but, if not, then Sam Foster will continue.

Gosport & Fareham: Vance, Thorne, Wood, Foster, Moggeridge, Speight, Duncombe, Dugan, Pickett, Clark, Whitehead, M Smith, Pollard, Thompson, Madigan, Flower, Titchener, Snowden, Heron.
