Havant Dolphins booked their place in the final of the Hampshire Cup with a scintillating semi-final win over Winchester.

The under-15 side progressed to the two-leg finale against Trojans by defeating their last-four opponents 39-0.

Not surprisingly, after eight weeks out of action because of the weather, Havant looked a but rusty in the early exchanges on a heavy pitch.

But they soon began to make light of both the playing surface and their opposition as they opened up a 12-0 lead by half-time, thanks to tries from Joe Walsh and Fred Boyce.

In the second half, Havant picked up where they left off, with James Hutton adding to their advantage.

Matt Lee then dived into the corner after being released by Jarod Leat to make the score 22-0, before the visitors added a further three more tries through Will Vaughan (2) and Seb Tyler to round off an unforgettable day.
