Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor will play out a repeat of their classic 1985 World Championship final in Portsmouth.

The pair have been drawn to meet each other in the first round of the 2013 World Seniors Championship to be held at the Mountbatten Centre in October.

Also confirmed is seven-times world champion Stephen Hendry, who will take on 1986 winner Joe Johnson.

It’s the second time in two years the tournament will be staged in Portsmouth.

Last year’s competition was won by Nigel Bond.

This year’s Sky-televised event is on the weekend of October 19-20 and once again many of the sport’s all-time greats will be gracing the green baize.

Tickets start at just £15. There are also some VIP tickets available with access to the players’ lounge and the chance for fans to mingle with their heroes. For details call (023) 9262 6509.
