Copnor end long wait... Bellair lose to Cowplain

Peter Rook lost both frames against Pete Ferguson but Trevor Sanders, John Wyatt and Phil Ledington sealed the victory at the 13th time of asking.

Copnor A ended Emsworth’s unbeaten run as a trio of Mick Hall, Mark Tillison and Scott Compton, with a 51 break, provided a 7-5 scoreline.

Craneswater A won 9-3 win over the Z side. Andy Boulton, Pedro Ferguson and Rob Kirby did the damage.

Greg Jones was on target for Bellair A but Steve Hughes and Dave Rees gave Cowplain Z a 7-5 success.

Three big scores were returned in division two.

Leaders Craneswater R thumped their Q team 11-1 to keep ahead of Portchester X who won by the same margin against North End.

Liam Melia, Andy White, Andy Carter, Harry Yard and Chris Bishop, with a 44 break, were impressive.

The Castlemen were just as good against the bowlers.

Ian Pledge got an early frame but after that Andy Macey, Jason Tame, Justin Andrews, Matt James and Ash Bendall potted everything.

Bellair B crushed Alexandra 10-2 at Havant.

Paul Jagger, Wayne Talley, Louis May and Paul Merrett were all on target.

Broadoak started well through Claire Branscombe but Cowplain Gas won 8-4.

Gary Kirby, Paul Lees and Gary Swatton won two apiece.

Copnor Xcels fought back for a 6-6 with Pompey Royals.

The scorers were Dave Chivers and Andy Chambers.

Dave Pink, Gary Woolley and Gary Wilton were on song as division three leaders Waterlooville C beat their D squad 9-3.

Mark Lloyd registered breaks of 46 and 44 for Cuestars in a 7-5 over Waterlooville B at Copnor.

Pascal Richard was also unstoppable again, adding to a Rio Smith brace.

Mark Pitman ran in a 32 break, while Oli Bowles and Craig Gardner kept Craneswater Newbies ahead in an 8-4 win against the Dandys.
