SNOOKER legend Steve Davis is looking forward to meeting fans at the Pyramids Centre next month.
The all-time great will be entertaining an audience in Portsmouth on Friday, June 10.
Davis won six World Snooker Championship titles as he became a sporting phenomenon.
He will share stories of his glittering career, which spanned three decades, on stage with top MC John McDonald.
Davis said: ‘I’m really looking forward to coming to Portsmouth and meeting some fans.
‘I love these kind of events because supporters are the people who have given me and all sportsmen the great lives we have and it is fantastic to engage with them and give something back.
‘I have a few stories to tell that I think everyone will enjoy but I’m still determined not to let anybody beat me at pool.’
On April 17 this year Davis retired from the professional game after failing to qualify for the World Snooker Championship.
At the Pyramids he will be available for photographs, signings and will be playing pool against some lucky ticket holders.
Tickets are still available for the event called an Audience with Steve Davis.
Jason Thame of promoters MODUS Sports Management added: ‘Steve Davis is one of the biggest names in not just snooker but in sport.
‘He is a household name and a national treasure.
‘We are delighted to be able to bring him to Portsmouth.
‘He has had a brilliant career and he definitely has some interesting stories to tell.
‘It should be a fantastic evening and one that is not to be missed.’
