Southsea Rowing Club are chasing home success to crown their 125th regatta in style tomorrow.

It will be a busy day of action as the popular event returns to the seafront, starting at 10am.

There will plenty of hotly-contested races.

Southsea ladies’ senior pair of Emily Harrison and Cynthia Mynhardt won the Newport Regatta recently.

They are aiming to stay in the race for the series prize.

In the ladies’ junior four, Sandra Rodrigues, Rose Barrand, Louise Pedder, Emily Smith and cox Emily Harrison will aim to impress.

Southsea men’s junior fours will also be a team to watch with Tarek Fergani, Peter Clark, Mark Baker, Andrew Stewart and Jeff Watling (cox) rowing well.

In the ladies’ senior fours, Harrison and Mynhardt combine with Ginta Budriunaite and Becky Sumpner.

Southsea Rowing Club receive support from Portsmouth City Council and local companies, who help ensure the event is a success.
