Locks make splash at Mountbatten meet

Locks Heath swim squad are celebrating an impressive medal haul collected at Portsmouth Northsea's Mountbatten Centre meet earlier this month.

For the vast majority of swimmers it was their first time competing as individuals in a 50 metre pool, with all acquitting themselves very well.

Indeed, there was little sign of nerves as 12-year-old Shannon Lamb led the way with a gold, silver and two bronze medals.

The only boy medallist was Thomas Larby, with the 11-year-old earning silver.
