Pompey downed by champs on night of Nigerian mayhem

Pompey ended their Nigerian tour with a 2-1 defeat against Manchester United tonight.
But things could have been a lot worse for the Blues as locals rioted before the game.
Police beat back hundreds of people as they attemped to get into the game without tickets.
Players were unaffected by the scenes on a manic evening in Abuja.
On the pitch, goals from Chris Eagles and Carlos Tevez gave the Premier League champions victory.
Jermain Defoe grabbed a late consolation for the Blues, who now head to South Africa for a training camp.
Redknapp was not too pleased with some of his players, who he feels are not up to task of carrying Pompey through a heavily congested fixture list this season.
And he was given another problem as central defender Noe Pamarot picked up a thigh injury, while John Utaka and Niko Kranjcar limped off.
