Jordan Cross brings you all the latest from Pompey's Wembley Community Shield showdown against Manchester Utd.
No real surprises for Pompey's third trip to Wembley in just over four months in the 100th Community Shield. Harry Redknapp opts for a 4-4-2 system with Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch up top. Redknapp decides to use Papa Bouba Diop on the right of mi
dfield. Linvoy Primus and Glen Little both fail to make Pompey's 18 man squad.

Pompey: James, Johnson, Distin, Campbell, Hreidarsson, Diop, Mendes, Diarra, Kranjcar, Defoe, Crouch. Subs: Ashdown, Lauren, Cranie, Traore, Mvuemba, Sahar, Utaka.

Man United: Van Der Sar, Neville, Evra, Ferdinand, Giggs, Vidic, Nani, Scholes, O'Shea, Fletcher, Tevez, Subs: Brown, Carrick, Evans, Kuszczak, Campbell, Da Silva, Possebon

The players are in the tunnel after a relaxed Harry Redknapp came out for a pre-match kickabout with what appeared to be his grandchildren. Disappointing to see pockets of empty seats among the Pompey fans, but they are in good voice as their team take to the pitch.

00: Manchester United get the game underway.
02: A 30 yard piledriver from Diarra fells Ferdinand as he blocks.
05: Distin shoulders Nani away from a through ball, but the ref plays on.
08: Distin doesn't get away with it a second time as he obstructs Tevez. Giggs' resulting free-kick is comfortably dealt with, however.
11: Nani's whipped free-kick is punched behind for a corner by James, which is cleared.
14: The game is hotting up. First Defoe looks to be in the clear but Ferdinand does just enough. Then Campbell lets Tevez break away, but Distin gets back to make a fine last-ditch challenge.
17: Pompey are being stretched. Fletcher's cross from the by-line is headed over by Tevez.
23: United try to back-heel their way through the Pompey defence, but Campbell shadows the ball back to James.
26: James does well to block Giggs' low drive.
29: Giggs almost seizes on to the ball after Campbell fails to clear but Johnson tidies up.
31: Diop reaches Kranjcar's ball and Defoe so nearly gets to his cross. Better stuff from Pompey.
33: A speculative volley from Diop drifts wide.
35: A golden chance for Fletcher and United. Nani dispossesses Johnson and plays a ball which is just asking to be tapped in by the United midfielder. He scuffs his connection though and then bemusingly passes to a blue shirt. Big let off for Pompey.
37: Distin goes into the book for dissent.
40: Campbell is well beaten by Nani again. He lifts the ball over James too, but Distin averts the danger by putting it out for a corner.
41: More danger from United as Nani is played into space, but his shot from a good position is well off beam.
43: Good chance for Defoe. He mugs the ball off Evra and bursts through, but frustratingly duffs his shot out for a goal-kick.
44: Vidic is booked for kicking the ball away after conceding a foul.
Half-time Pompey 0 United 0.

46: Pompey restart the game.
49: United so nearly have the lead as Fletcher's hits the crossbar with a lobbed effort from the edge of the box after, James fails to get a major connection on his punched clearance from Giggs' corner. The ball falls loose to Tevez who nods the ball into the relieved hands of the Pompey keeper.
55: A promising move ends with Diop aimlessly lifting a cross to a red shirt. He wins back the ball though and nearly feeds Defoe.
59: James gets his hands to Tevez's cross-shot.
60: Utaka replaces Kranjcar.
61: Neville is booked for a foul on Utaka.
66: Fletcher feeds Giggs but James gets down to his scuffed shot.
67: Carrick and Brown replace O'Shea and Neville.
69: Nani fires into the arms of James.
66: Fletcher feeds Giggs but James gets down to his scuffed shot.
67: Carrick and Brown replace O'Shea and Neville.
69: Nani fires into the arms of James.
70: A top drawer stop from James denies Tevez as he hits a 20 yarder which is heading in until a long outstretched arm turns it around the post.
73: A gilt-edge chance for Pompey. Crouch frees Diop in space and he puts the ball in the danger area. Vidic looks to have cleared but dallies and Crouch nips in but miscues his effort.
75: Defoe breaks past four red shirts but Vidic eventually recovers and blocks his shot.
75: United have strong claims for a penalty turned down as Hreidarsson grabs Tevez's leg in the box. The ref waves play on and the Argentina man grabs the defender by the throat in retribution
75: Mendes is replaced by Mvuemba.
78: Utaka fires in a 30 yarder which Van Der Sar handles.
79: Nani is replaced by Campbell. Lauren replaces Hreidarsson.
81: Some quick feet works United striker Campbell some space but he lifts his shot over the top.
85: Defoe wins a free-kick 30 yards out but Diarra fires way over.
88: An enterprising run from Evra ends with him shooting at James.
90: Two United corners come in succession. Both are seen out by Pompey.
90: Johnson marauds forward but can't find precision in his cross. Defoe tries his best to retrieve the move but lifts his shot over.
Full-time: Pompey 0 United. Time for penalties!

The kicks are to be taken in front of the United fans.
Diarra's first up for Pompey. The Frenchman walks forward....and fires way over the top. Damn.
Now it's Tevez for United. Sends James the wrong way. 1-0.
Now it's Defoe. Great finish 1-1.
Ryan Giggs for United. Lovely effort high beyond James' dive. 2-1.
Arnold Mvuemba. Straight at Van Der Sar. Not good.
Carrick for United. Through James' hand. 3-1.
Johnson for Pompey. High over the top. United are the winners.

a poor lethargic performance, fair enough we held them to a draw, but campbell, diop, no good, kranky needs to lose weight, diarra great we need a good winger now, no width, too slow, even half hearted penaltys..............diarra and jamo quality

We Can Do It

Today's Vote

Is Tony Adams right to make changes to the Pompey side who beat Blackburn?
Adams should stick to the side that earned him his first win at Fratton Park
He should only change things around if there are injuries
If Campbell and Kranjcar are fit they should start
Davis deserves a starting role after his heroics against Blackburn
With a heavy fixture schedule coming up, changes are needed
