JORDAN CROSS with the action as it happened from White Hart Lane.
Pompey: James, Aubey, Hreidarsson, Distin, Johnson, Utaka, Hughes, Davis, Mendes, Utaka, Kanu. Subs: Ashdown, Wilson, Mvuemba, Nugent, Baros.
Spurs: Robinson, Hutton, Chimbonda, Woodgate, Dawson, Zokora, Huddlestone, Malbranque, Lennon, Berbatov, Keane. Subs: Kaboul, Tainio, Cerny, Bent, O'Hara

Pompey are forced into a whopping six changes from the team who beat Aston Villa last weekend. Aubey, Utaka, Hughes, Davis, Mendes and Kanu come in for Lauren, Diop, Diarra, Muntari, Baros and Defoe. David Nugent is on the bench.

00: Spurs kick off.
01: It's horrendous weather as a combination of rain, sleet, snow and hailstones hammer down. Pompey are playing a 4-5-1 with Hughes in the holding role, Mendes on the left and Davis on the right in the middle.
10: Some fine play from Keane wins Spurs a corner but Distin deals with the danger.
11: Lennon comes in off the flank and hits a shot which is deflected but Johnson clears.
12: Hreidarsson fails to clear, Zokora plays in Keane but James is equal to his effort.
14: Hreidarrson is all over Keane and Hufflestone fires into the arms of James from the free-kick. Then a bizarre event - Keane lurks behind James and attempts to nick the ball when the keeper rolls out the ball for a kick off the ground. James just gets to the clearnce in time.
17: Davis so nearly chips the ball over Robinson from 25 yards but the keeper just tips the ball over.
19: Zokora volleys just wide with James beaten.
28: Berbatov puts the ball into the net but is marginally offside.
29: Kanu goes close when his shot is deflected just past Robinson's goal.
30: Spurs win a corner, Dawson beats Hreidarsson and then smashes a shot off the bar.
35: Lennon runs at Pompey and squars for Berbatov but he lifts his shot just over.
40: A wonderful little cameo from Kranjcar leaves Zokora and Berbatov for dead to the delight of the away fans.
45: Huddlestone fires over.
Half-time: Spurs 0 Pompey 0

46: Pompey restart the game.
54: Lennon runs and cuts across the box before firing just wide.
56: Utaka is harshly booked after an aerial challenge with Chimbonda.
60: Utaka engages Chimbonda at last and fires in a dangerous cross which is eventually cleared.
67: Hughes makes a fine saving tackle on Hutton.
68: Keane's shot kicks up after a deflection and James gathers.
70: O'Hara and Bent replace Lennon and Dawson.
77: Pompey so nearly have the lead as Johnson picks out Kanu who beats Robinson but with the ball heading towards goal Zokora makes a fine saving clearance.
GOAL! 80: Spurs have the lead as Malbranque shot is deflected, Berbatov follows up and Bent is there to nod the ball past James.
GOAL! 82: Spurs add a quick second as Bent leaves Hreidarsson for dead and cuts the ball across the face of goal for O'Hara to roll the ball home as Hughes slides in.
83: Keane is replaced by Tainio. Baros replaces Kanu.
90: Mvuemba replaces Hughes.
90: Two minutes of stoppage time.
Full-time: Spurs 2 Pompey 0.

completely agree as soon as they went with 3 strikers we should have gone 4-4-2 but yet another game where harry doesn't use his subs until its to late we were right in the game and played some good football but gave away a valuable point

Kanu should be released never mind taken off! Utaka.....Does he really wanna be at Pompey? Aubey.....Played against Bolton....not exactly the same calibre as Spurs! I suppose Harry claims we are down to the bare bones again! Lets hope we DO win the FA Cup as with todays performance I think we can say goodbye to any other route into Europe. Maybe as fans we do expect to much.....then again as players they should be providing a bit more than they have today. Bet Brom are rubbing their hands watching us play today. The team were a joke

i thought aubey wasnt too bad but Kanu and utaka were bad, very, when were playin that deep surely we should have had someone with pace upfront, all utaka could do was run up the wing, jib out, and pass back to johnson. Where was Diarra? And i bet mvuemba was happy with his chance of featuring...

I saw that as a tired lethargic performance, second to most balls. Players standing around waiting for the ball to come to them. Sure we had a seriously weakened side due to suspensions and league interventions, but that was POOR. There was no heart or spirit in pompey's play right from the kick off. That will seal our failure to qualify for Europe through the league, especially if Villa win today. A good season definately, but merely a performance that would not even grace the championship today.

Well we can kiss goodbye to qualifying for Europe through the league after that disaster. Redknapp got his tactics completely wrong imo. A point isn't gong to help us at this stage in the season so why go 4-5-1 against a 4-4-2 Spurs team? And why, oh why, go with carthorse Kanu? I know we had a few missing, but he had Baros and Nugent fit so why didn't he start with them instead of Kanu and Utaka ? Every time the ball was played up, it came straight back. Having cocked up with his initial team selection it is perhaps more astounding that he waited until Spurs had scored before bringing Baros on, when clearly the game was there for the taking before that, after Spurs had made their changes. I don't care what Harry says, the only excuse for his tactics today is that he has clearly got his mind on winning the FA cup. More than fine by me, but don't go telling everyone that he thinks we can gatecrash the top 4 !

Oh, and perhaps Harry should spend more time instilling fear into the opposition that has to play against us, instead of lording every side we play, maybe then the team will have some heart and fight about them more frequently. Imagine how many points we'd have made up this season!

a bit over the top wolfpup. Spurs are a top team on form, we were missing 6 first team players. To say we were a joke was very harsh considering the factors. Agreed that Kanu should have gone off earlier though.

The ref did not help and if only kanu had some weight behind that.

Utaka clearly has talent, but no motivation at all. For someone with pace he is also scared of beating players.

i think pompey canada means if everton win today.then europe qualification would be harder via league.

Can Linvoy still have an impact at Pompey?
Yes - he can still be a first-team player
He'll be a useful squad player
He'll be nothing more than a fringe player
Let's see how he overcomes his injury first
