Helen Thomas,

In the middle of the A3 Bus Priority Corridior 18/09/2007 22:12:45
Day 1 of Dell-Piece West being closed for the second time - already I have traffic constantly queued on my door step - the constant noise of horns being sounded in anger - the road rage that ends up in drivers leaving their cars to argue with one another. How much more of this must I, a simple home owner put up with - and for what??? A bus lane and major road junction that was never needed or wanted!

Helen Thomas,

Still In The Middle of The Building Site Formerly 20/09/2007 21:07:38
Today has been an absolute delight - we have now found out that not only do we have to put up with the road works from 7.30am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday and Saturday mornings we will now also have the pleasure of listening to the drills, diggers etc,etc on Sunday! Yes Dyer & Butler have given us two days notice that we are now going to be robbed of our only peaceful day - Sunday, as they will be working from 9.00am until 3.00pm! And is there anything we can do about it - NO CHANCE! No one cares - it seems if you are a resident of Portsmouth Road you have certainly lost all rights to a peaceful life! I wouldn't mind if Dyer and Butler actually worked - most of the time you just see groups of them peering into holes - hence the need to work on Sunday!
