SIGNS are being plastered across Hampshire's buses warning motorists to look out for bikes.
Hampshire County Council's road safety team has launched a campaign urging drivers to take time and check for motorcycles.

While they represent only one per cent of road traffic, motorcyclists are 45 times more likely to be killed on the road than car drivers.

The county council's executive member for environment, Councillor Mel Kendal, said: 'Spring always sees more bikers out on our roads, so it's even more important for drivers to pay attention. Most drivers see what they expect to see, and most expect to see a car rather than a bike.

'It takes only seconds to check properly and it could save someone's life.'

This is all well and good for the good bike riders out there, but there are also the ones that ride around like idiots overtaking anywhere they want.

Why is it I never see a motorcycle in my rear view mirror?

As a bike rider myself, I fully admit that theres's the 1% of bikers that ride like idiots.... therefore, there must be 1% of 4 wheel users that drive like idiots. 1% of 4 wheel drivers is a LOT more than the same percentage of bikers, so lets not point fingers please and try to treat all road users with manners.
