Two men were arrested in Albert Road this afternoon.
Eyewitnesses said they saw police stop two men travelling in a silver jaguar along the road about 1pm.

Staff at nearby Garbo's hairdressers said they saw two police cars and one unmarked car stop and handcuff two men.

Both men were taken away in a police van, said witnesses.

The road was closed off and traffic was diverted for about 20 minutes.

Billy Smith, director of Garbo's, said: 'It caused a lot of chaos and held up traffic.'

Lauren Payne, receptionist at Garbo's, added: 'When they got arrested they didn't seem shocked about it.
'One of them was laughing and smiling.'

Officers at the scene of the arrest refused to comment when approached by The News.
