TRAVELLERS using the region's airport are being warned of potential delays because of roadworks.
Southampton Airport is letting passengers know about major roadworks being carried out by Hampshire County Council on the A335 Southampton Road, in Eastleigh.

The work will take place between June 30 and November, from the Romsey Road roundabout to Chestnut Avenue.

A signed temporary diversion route will run via Romsey Road, Leigh Road, Passfield Avenue and Stoneham Lane to the main interchange roundabout for Southampton Airport and M27 Junction 5.

As significant delays may occur at peak times, passengers are advised to allow extra time to travel to the airport.

Those arriving by bus should check with the operator before travelling for any timetable or route changes. Train services should not be affected.
