A woman driver had to be cut free from her car when it overturned following a crash.
The collision between a Renault Clio and Peugeot 206 happened at Copnor Bridge at the junction of New Road East, Portsmouth, at 1.50pm yesterday. Emergency services rushed to the scene where petrol was leaking out of the overturned Peugeot.
Rescue crews cut away part of the back of the hatchback to get the driver out.
The driver, who was not seriously injured, was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital.
Cosham Fire Station watch manager Craig Saddler said: 'The woman was speaking while we were working to free her from the car.'
The second driver, who was pregnant, was checked over at the scene.
Copnor Road reopened shortly after 3pm. Witnesses to the accident should call police on 0845 045 45 45.
